Introduction
This Travel Blog is based on the daily diary I kept during an epic Around the World Trip I made in 1975/6. Starting from London Gatwick I flew to Singapore then Sailed to Fremantle (Western Australia) followed by a journey via Greyhound Bus to Adelaide (South Australia) and Melbourne (Victoria) before arriving in Sydney (New South Wales). I also made further trips to Auckland (New Zealand) to spend Christmas & New year with my Aunt & Uncle who had emigrated 20 years previously.
On return to Australia I also visited Brisbane (Queensland) before returning via Hawaii and mainland USA with a 21 day Amtrak Travel Pass. The Journey took just 84 Days and cost me around £2,500 - not bad value!
